𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐮𝐣𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐌𝐎𝐔 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐮𝐩 𝐆𝐮𝐣𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭-𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐆-𝐒𝐄𝐑) 𝐚𝐭 𝐃𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐒𝐈𝐑.

The Gujarat Government signed a MOU (memorandum of understanding) with Hyderabad-based Cerestra Group to build up Gujarat-Special Education Region (G-SER) at Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR).

The MOU was signed between ACS and Mr. M.K Das, Chief Minister and Chairman of Dholera Industrial City Development Limited, and Mr. Jasmit Chhabra, Managing Partner of Cerestra.

Cerestra Ventures is a fund for educational infrastructure that will partner with the government of Gujarat to set up G-SER. The business is active in developing quality hubs for education, like schools, and has metro businesses.

The G-SER will be created as an educational center hub spread more than 1,000 acres of land that can be extended up to 5,000 acres of land will comprise of school district, University district, discovery district, and innovation district. 

The state government said in a statement: "The G-SER will be developed as an education hub over 1,000 acres of land within Dholera SIR, which can be expanded up to 5,000 acres to develop university district, school district and innovation district." This will include residential and sports complexes for students. "Investment in the G-SER project will accelerate the state's economic growth and create employment opportunities", it said.  "With the advent of this project, many additional facilities will be created which will provide direct and indirect employment opportunities to about two-and-a-half lakh people," the statement said.

The Dholera mechanical Industrial city spread more than 920 sq km with important infrastructure and eco-framework for businesses, has positioning for health, education and other basic administrations that are being created as a feature of the social infrastructure. At the event, Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani said Dholera is the first greenfield modern industrial city to be set up to help Industry 4.0.

Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani added, “This Special Education Region will be important in establishing Gujarat in a knowledge-driven economy. Also the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor is being constructed as part of the ‘Greenfield Industrial City’. DSIR is currently equipped with various services and also has strategically useful connectivity options through Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway, Dholera International Airport and Bhimnath-Dholera Rail Line.”

Managing Partner of Cerestra Mr. Jasmit Chhabra said: "Cerestra is associated with investments on various platforms in education. The firm is at the forefront in diversifying education infrastructure and building Edu-Infra Trusts in India. An MOU with G-SER is a step towards the same"

Cerestra Ventures is involved in the business of investment, construction, and management related to education and life sciences.
